Leander is due to visit the
National Railway Museum in York between 29 May & 6 June as part of the celebration of 200 years of railways.

Leander made its first public appearance since repainting at Crewe Works Open Weekend on 31 May and 1 June. In honour of the fiftieth anniversary of the Queen's Coronation, it carried the nameplate Golden Jubilee on one side, though I am assured that this is not a permanent fixture!

Leander will not be appearing at the West Somerset gala on 10/11 May, due to problems with the firebox. Its first outing is now scheduled to be the Crewe Open Days on 31 May & 1 June.

Bahamas will be taken out of its current Oxenhope store to be on static display outside her new home base (i.e. when overhaul commences) at the official opening of the Bahamas Locomotive Society's new Museum in the old Midland Railway Goods Shed at Ingrow West Station on the K&WVR on May 17th.

Leander is to star at the West Somerset Railway's CrossCountry Gala Weekend on 10/11 May.

Leander was top-and-tailing a shuttle service between Bury and the East Lancs engine sheds at their winter steam gala of 25/26 January. It is still unpainted, apparently waiting for warmer weather to give a better finish. The following photos were taken on 25 January:-
